Awards
Semifinals (Mainland China):
Each member of a team invited to participate in the Regional Presentation will be given a certificate of “Semi-finalists” for S.-T. Yau High School Science Award (Math) .
Up to fifteen teams among the semi-finalists will be awarded certificates of “finalist” for S.-T. Yau High School Science Award (Math).
Semifinals (Overseas), equivalently regional finalists:
Each member of a team invited to participate in a Regional Presentation in one of the regional program will be considered “Regional finalists” for S.-T. Yau High School Science Award. They are also considered semi-finalists of the global S.-T. Yau High School Science Award.
Students who receive the Gold Award, as well as those who demonstrate outstanding performance in the competition, will be nominated to participate in the Global Finals in Beijing. All nominations are subject to approval by the Executive Committee of the S.-T. Yau High School Science Award.
Each Gold Award recipient in every subject will receive a prize of US $1,000.
Upon request, the chair of the Selection Committees could provide confirmations, comments and recommendations for the awardees for academic purposes (e.g. college entrance applications).
